Go Work From Anywhere

Hi everyone!

Welcome to GoWorkFromAnyWhere.com

My name is Jacqueline, owner of this website.

Here is a mini-bio of myself showing you how I got to where I am and what I see as my future with my online business.

I have been an employee of a number of different companies for over 25 years.

First Job

My first job was way back in 1991, working in the IT department of a college. It was a great start to my career as a Computer Programmer as I was able to apply the skills what I’d learned at Polytechnic the years previously and was also being trained on new technology, which I really enjoyed.

I’m a fast learner so after 2 years, a colleague commented that I was too good for the job, which in a way was true, as based on the market value for Computer Programmers back then, I wasn’t being paid half as much.  It wasn’t a bother to me then, as I was still living at home with no bills to pay so this job suited me fine.  However, there came a time when I’d learned as much as I could and there wasn’t any potential for me to develop my skills any further so I applied for a job at a Marketing Company.

Second Job

After just one interview, well in fact, during the interview, they hinted that they wanted to take me on.  I secured the job and again enhanced my skill set.  It was while I was working at this Marketing Company that a colleague recommended me for a project at a Travel Agency who needed a complete Computer Booking System built.   I took up the challenge, created and delivered a system that they were pleased with; so much, that they wanted me to give them the code!  Needless to say, I didn’t.  However, I got a flair for working on my own terms from anywhere which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Being someone that loves to learn, I left the Marketing Company after 3 years and went to work for a Private company who supported the IT management of 2 local authorities.  After 3 years, there was a restructure of the business and the IT was brought back in-house, and I was made redundant.   I enjoyed my freedom for a few months then I secured a job at a company that wrote software for Travel agents – I’m glad I took up the previous challenge!

This contract was only short -term, however, the experience gained was enough for me to secure a full-time job at a Recruitment Company where again, I was exposed to bespoke software used only in the recruitment field.  I learned this new software language quickly but I wasn’t happy working for that company so I looked for another opening which was now becoming very easy for me to do with my set of skills which were highly sought after.

5th Job

This was to be my 5th career move and the longest job I’ve remained in.  I was with my company for 11 years when I was caught up yet again in the middle of a restructure so decided to pursue a career in Radiography – a total change of career.  These days you don’t need a degree in Computer Programming to become employed –  most people get their foot in the door through recommendations or by starting out as a general admin staff then work their way up. This is the trend I started to see.  I knew if I trained as a Radiographer, this wasn’t going to happen.  You have to go through the training and University.  I wanted something that was secure and that would see me through till I retired.

I did the long distant training, passed each module and secured a place at University.   However, I still didn’t feel satisfied with the thought of spending 3 years of my life at University, so I declined the offer.  I began to seriously think about other options.  I didn’t fancy working for another company.  I knew if I was made redundant, I wanted to carve something out for myself.

Opportunity Knocks

I started to do some research and came across products and programs that promised to make me earn unrealistic amounts with minimal work.

Being very sceptical, I moved on as I know that you can’t make that kind of money within the short time frame they mentioned.  Sometimes there were cases where people were making £5000 in a day with no training.

Fortunately, I came across a post which I read to the end and they recommended a product which was free to sign up to, had a community of like-minded people and showed you how you can make money online through Affiliate Marketing.

Check out the short video below of what Affiliate Marketing is all about.

I’d never heard the term before.  It sounded like a promising venture, so I signed up to Wealthy Affiliate.

This is how goworkformanywhere.com started.

You can check out my review of Wealthy Affiliate here.

This website was built on the training that I received from Wealthy Affiliate.

Affiliate Marketing allows me to earn a living from this website and not only that, I get to do something that I am passionate about which is to provide valuable information for you to get started with a successful online business.

Feel free to navigate around and see what you find.   You will not find any get-rich-quick schemes or ‘Earn 5,000 in 5 minutes’ type posts as what I have learnt and researched, shows that these schemes are only made to get the people behind them rich and you out of pocket.

Hard work, dedication, commitment, consistency are key if you want to achieve any goal in life.

The Internet

More and more people are now turning to the internet to start an online business.  With over 3 billion customers this is the ideal place to start a business.

Your business can be anything you are passionate about.  The only limitations are how creative you are.

Alexis Ohanian (Reddit co-founder and husband of Serena Williams) in his book ‘Without their permission‘ says

‘Innovation online doesn’t have a doorman.  The only barriers are an Internet connection, a laptop, and you’.

The steps I’ve taken to start earning money online are outlined in my Wealthy Affiliate Review.

Why Do I Want To Help You

Because knowledge is meant for sharing and I get to share my knowledge and experience with you.

I’ve read many books on successful entrepreneurs such as Robert Kiyosaki  (Rich Dad, Poor Dad author), Alexis Ohanian (Reddit Co-Founder), Bill Gates, and Les Brown. I wouldn’t know of them if they didn’t share their knowledge.

Another reason is that most people are facing huge debts because they want to live the life they want but don’t have the means to support it.  Students go to university to earn a degree and end up in debt.  Families want to enjoy some time away, take out credit and end up in debt.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Life is meant to be fulfilling, not stressing about not being able to afford a holiday for the kids, not being able to buy what is necessary.  You were created to enjoy life.

I’ve had several family holidays and they were all paid for in cash.  It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you can take a break and when you return, there is no credit card bill waiting for you.   I want this for you too.

I will be sharing with you opportunities to help you and others to live the life of your dreams.  Dreams that will become a reality.  A life where you no longer have to regret taking that long-awaited break or feel guilty because you bought your partner a special gift.

Thanks for stopping by.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below and I will get back to you.
