What Is Paid Social Media Jobs?

It is a marketplace that allows you to sign up for jobs as a freelancer to help companies manage and maintain their Social Media accounts in order to grow their business.

You can expect to earn anything from between $20-$25 per hour as their ‘Social Media Manager’.

Managing a Social Media profile takes time and for busy companies and individuals what a better way to manage them than to outsource this work to people like you, while they get on with the day to day running of their business.

The jobs you do will include (but not limited to):

  • Setting up Social Media accounts such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter)
  • Tweeting special promotions
  • Doing FaceBook status updates
  • Responding to comments
  • Getting more Followers/Subscribers and Likes to grow their profile

Here is a sample of a job description:

Paid Social Media Jobs Scam Review

As you can see from this advert, and with most of the jobs advertised in the job marketplace, no experience is required and the hourly rates are quite good for what you will be doing but will it be worth your time?

This will be repetitive work and you will need to work closely with the company and/or individual so that your comments and responses are in line with their ethos.  You will not be left to comment based on your own opinion.

I have heard of a case where a Social Media Manager was sacked by a well-known celebrity as they posted something on their account which wasn’t approved, and which unfortunately for them, went viral.

Off course, this wasn’t the intention but a simple ‘mistake’ can cost you your job and the reputation of the client you will be representing.

You will probably also need to be hands-on – searching for the latest news and gossips to post on the different social media platforms as this drives traffic back to the source which is the reason why you are tasked with being a Social Media Manager.

How Does Paid Social Media Jobs Work?

You will have a set of training to help you get started as well as a marketplace for you to find relevant jobs.

In the training, there are a total of 4 modules:

Module 1: Understanding Social Media Clients

You will have access to a short video which tells you about the clients you will be getting and some of their concerns about being on Social Media. You will need to be able to allay their fears and concerns so you will need to have some knowledge of some of the pitfalls of being on Social media as well as the benefits

Module 2: How To Be A Social Media Manager

In this module, you will be shown the types of Social Media jobs available and where to find clients that require your service.

Module 3: Introduction To Social Media Management

This module talks about branding for business.  Branding is a huge topic and PSMJ doesn’t give it any justice with this short presentation as there is no content about managing a brand for a client.

Module 4: Advanced Training Program

A set of low-quality Private Label Rights content that doesn’t even show you how to make money for your clients on these social media platforms – so much for an “Advanced Training program”.

With all the training material, there is nothing to help you to be successful with this system.  You are pretty much on your own.

The crux of having a Social Media presence is for you to drive traffic and customers to your clients.  Without doing this, you will be wasting your time and your client will probably look for another person to manage their Social Media profiles.

You would have spent so much time setting things up, posting, getting to know your clients’ business only for them to get rid of you.

These things take time and effort and some clients will not be patient enough, especially when they are paying good hourly rates, to see results.  They want results now.

Having your own business and being at the helm of it means you don’t have the fear of being laid off or pressurized into getting things to work within a short time frame.  You will have the luxury of testing what works, re-working and repeating things until you are satisfied.

Is Paid Social Media Jobs A Scam?

No.  It is a legitimate business opportunity and has been around for nearly 6 years so it must be doing something well to be going for such a long time.

Also, some people have made money from using this system.

However, I have to say that there are some things that I find unethical and misleading which I came across when doing my research.

The companies listed in the marketplace are getting ridiculous amounts of hits or likes per hour like 4K hits which even with an automated system is not doable. Is this to make you think that these companies are legit so you can sign up to them?

It’s possible that when you do sign up, they will try to sell you more products to ‘help you along the way’.

They also don’t tell you how hard it is to make money using this system.

As with most Sales video, they tell you what they want and make it sound so easy for you to earn money with their system when it’s completely the opposite.

If it were so simple then there would be no need for automation services like Jarvee and Crowdfire which automates most tasks on Social Media platforms.  Setting these Social Media platforms up takes time and effort and a lot of testing to see what works.

If you are going to be doing this manually it will take a lot of time.  You will probably find that working with one client is more than enough for you.

If this isn’t going to meet your money goals, then you may want to check out a product I reviewed recently called My Freelance Paycheck which is for freelancers.  Freelancers who want to train to be writers so that they can have many clients that they can write for.

You can check out my review of this program here.

I also did a review where I listed 20 ways to make money online which you can read here.  At the time of writing, I geared it towards college students however, these methods will work for anyone.

As Social Media is being used a lot now by companies to engage with their customers, it is getting very competitive. Those who want to make a living as a Social Media Manager are now completing bespoke courses in this field to give them the edge when it comes to them getting a job offer.

If you really want to get paid to manage social media accounts, you should invest in some decent training concerning marketing as well as learn how to influence web users.

The Paid Social Media Jobs marketplace offers low-quality training which will not see you becoming a competent Social Media Manager.  They make it sound so easy and simple when it requires a lot more than meets the eye.

As a Social Media Manager, you would be expected to create ads, answer queries as well as complete other tasks that will help a business to grow.

As with any job, it takes time to become proficient – Paid Social Media Jobs seems to tell you otherwise.

  • Weekly pay out
  • No experience necessary
  • Location independent
  • A legitimate way to earn money

  • Uses Private Label Rights training material for their courses – these tend to be outdated, rehashed content
  • Limited training.  Doesn’t go into detail of how to further your knowledge of Social Media Marketing
  • The job marketplace is riddled with fake, non-existent job ads
  • A lot of fluff.  They talk about branding, but there is nothing tangible that you can take from it
  • Fake Fox news endorsement
  • Jobs are temporary
  • Very difficult to find jobs
  • Price is a rip-off.  You can find similar things on Fiverr
  • Not an easy job
  • You need to understand how Social Media works

Even though Paid Social Media Jobs is not a scam, I don’t think you will get far with their outdated training and the quality of jobs in the marketplace.

You will only be wasting your time with this system and you will probably be better off joining Fiverr to promote yourself or join my freelance paycheck where you will learn how to become a Freelance Writer so you can work from home writing for several clients.

Personally, I think there are much better methods and ways to make money online which doesn’t limit you to what you can do and is not repetitive as you can be as creative as you want to be as it is your own business.

The method I use is Affiliate Marketing.

With zero overhead, zero shipping,  and zero dealing with refunds and returns, it’s a great way to build an online business.

Check out the short video below that gives a snapshot of what Affiliate Marketing is about.

Even though there are 4 simple steps, ‘attracting visitors’ to your site is crucial to the success of your business.  That is why systems like Paid Social Media Jobs won’t work in your favor as the training is limited and doesn’t go into enough depth for you to understand how to properly market Social Media content.

Thankfully, I learned all about that with my #1 recommended training program that I have been with for nearly 2 years at the time of writing this review and I have no plans in leaving them.

They taught me all I need to know to be successful online and they continue to update their training platform to keep abreast of the ever-changing world of the internet which is what you need to be successful.

They teach Affiliate Marketing which is the best method to earn money online. It is a growing market and you won’t have the risk of someone laying you off.   The business is your own.  You can scale it up and diversify in different markets which is great for your money making goals.

However, and this is a big “however”…  It is certainly not a get-rich-quick method.  You need to work hard and be patient to see the rewards which are great once you have put in the hard work.  You will receive a passive income for years to come.

If you want great teaching on how to become successful online by owning your own business, check out my review here of the training platform.

They also offer a FREE 7-day trial so you can take part in 10 video-based lessons to get you started on your journey.  You can jump straight to this offer by clicking the button below.  No credit card is required.

Only click the button if you are ready and willing to work hard – you don’t want to have another dormant account online. 🙄
